Last week we talked about knowing your value and how, when there’s a high price paid for something, the value is increased. When Jesus paid the highest sacrifice, with His life, we received everlasting life! So, what is eternal life? A lot of people think it means that we get to live forever
in heaven, but that’s only one aspect of it!

John 17:3 (NKJV) says, “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” Knowing our Father God and Jesus is eternal life! This doesn’t start when we go to heaven. Knowing God is something that we can and SHOULD
experience now, right here on the earth!

The word “know” in this scripture is used to describe a special intimacy, like the bond between a husband and wife. This is the kind of relationship God wants us to have with Him! He wants to be our confidant, the person we confide in and talk to about everything!

Out of Jesus’ sacrifice, came this amazing opportunity for eternal life, a relationship that we can have with God! We are NEVER alone. God longs to have a relationship with us and for us to truly “know” Him!
