When the devil attacked Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus kept quoting the Word, saying “It is written…”

The devil attacks us too, so we have to respond like Jesus did and quote the Word. The problem is that sometimes, we don’t know the Word like we should. Good news! It’s not hard to get the
Word in you! It does take some effort, but it will never be a waste of time.

I have learned that you can’t just rely on someone’s knowledge and revelation of the Word; you need to read it and find out for yourself.

There is a story in Acts 19 about 7 sons of Sceva, who tried to cast a demon out of someone. The demon responded by saying, “Jesus I know, Paul I know, but who are you.” Then the demon beat them up and stripped them naked.

Satan does not have power over believers IF they know who they are and who is living inside of them.

It says in Luke 10:19 (NKJV), “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

But, if you don’t know what the Bible says about you, then you might think that the devil has power over you. The Word will set us free, so let’s make it a priority this year!
