Have you ever tried to work a complex jigsaw puzzle…the kind with a thousand or more
pieces? It’s hard enough when you have the picture on the box to use as a guide.
Imagine trying to work it without that picture!
That’s exactly what most people are trying to do when it comes to the puzzle of living a
successful life. They’re attempting to get through life without the big picture of who they
are. This can only be seen through a personal relationship with God and really knowing
who He is. My question of the day for you is, “Have you gotten a picture of where you fit,
in God’s grand scheme of things?”
WHEN WE SEE WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR US IN CHRIST, THE REALITY OF
REDEMPTION WILL CONSUME OUR OLD IDENTITY!
Once you identify Jesus in your life, He will give you a new identity [1 Jn.4:17]. 2 Cor.
5:17 says, “Old things are passed away,” so sin, poverty, sickness, insecurity…these
are the old things that are behind you.
What God did in Christ is big enough to consume who and what you used to be [Rom.
5:15-21 (AMP). But we can never rise in life above our own understanding of who we
are, and we will never find our identity until we find out who we are in Christ. It’s not
good enough for God to see you in Christ; You must see yourself in Christ!
WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE IS MORE POWERFUL AND TRUE THAN WHO YOU
THINK YOU ARE!
Check out the story of Gideon in Judges 6-8. God called Gideon “A mighty man of
valor”. If you looked at Gideon, he was FAR from being a man of valor. But God often
calls us something that HE sees, even though there is no physical evidence to support
it.
Gideon responded to God, “Not me.” What was he saying? “God doesn’t know me as
well as I know myself. But God is trying to tell us that He knows more about us than we
even know about ourselves!
THE GRACE OF GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOUR PAST AND TRANSFORMS YOU
INTO THE BEST “YOU”!
